WS4W Club Calendar
Ruth and Lester are planning an exploration in and around Badlands, SD. They plan to arrive in Badlands May 17th. Expect trips, on the 18th, 19th and 20th, to leave from the Badlands Inn, Interior, SD around 8:30 each day. The first day will be on pavement as we plan to explore the drive through the park with some short hikes and stops at overlooks. Second day we will be exploring along Sage Creek Rim Road, which is an improved dirt road, to the ghost town of Scenic SD. Third day is planned for Battle Creek Canyon road, this is a high clearance trail in a remote section of the Badlands. We have never explored this area before so that’s as much description as we can provide. However, all roads are on our National Geographic map of the area and there will be about 5 vehicles total. That should be enough to get us out of an trouble we may find!! Each day is planned for a full day out, so you will need to bring lunch, water, snacks and have a full tank of gas, as usual for these trips.

Jess Deegan (& Gigi) are leading a run August 19-22(23), 2024 on the Rubicon, for members of the Bakersfield Trailblazers and Western Slope Four Wheelers (open to non-club members on recommendation). Current plans are to enter from the East heading West, camping each night, with driving time each day of about 5 hours. You should expect some type of damage to your vehicle, though many obstacles do have bypasses (not all). Plan accordingly! Limit of SEVEN vehicles, though if the demand warrants the number may increase to 10. Currently there are four vehicles who have committed. Contact the Silverback at jfdeeganii@gmail.com to inquire or commit.
